The guide to get your salon compliant before 27 September

A practical 6-point checklist, a table of phrases to rewrite, and the documents to keep in case of an inspection. Free PDF, written for the people who open their salon every morning.
“Sustainable products”, “eco salon”, “zero impact”. From 27 September, these words could cost you dearly. You don’t need to manufacture cosmetics to be held responsible: simply repeating these claims in your shop window, price list, or social media posts may be enough.

Legislative Decree 30/2026 requires one simple thing: every environmental claim must be backed by evidence. The problem is that hardly any salon knows which phrases are risky, what to do with stock already in storage, or where to begin. The official guidance exists, but it is written for legal departments. We’ve prepared the practical version.

The ten-minute test

Open your Instagram account and the “About Us” page on your website. Search for the words sustainable, eco, green, natural, and zero impact. Every time you find one standing alone, without a number next to it, you’ve found a phrase that needs rewriting. In most salons, this search turns up between five and fifteen instances.
